In our school we have a topic based curriculum using Cornerstones materials. To view an overview of our topic and curriculum coverage click the year group links below. We sometimes use the themes of our topics to provide the platform on which we base our English curriculum, however we teach some genres in English as separate units, following the requirements of the National Curriculum. We also teach Maths as independent units, however we look for opportunities for the children to apply their learning in maths across the curriculum wherever possible. To teach the requirements of the National Curriculum in Maths we follow units of work following four themes, which we revisit, build on and develop over the course of the year. These themes are:
Number Sense; Additive Reasoning; Multiplicative Reasoning and Geometric Reasoning.
In addition to the curriculum overviews, the children in KS2 are learning French.

- https://www.mathschase.com/ Maths Chase is a completely free site where you can quickly test your times tables. The site is a very simple game but I think kids will find it a really fun way to learn their times tables.
