Always try to treat others as you would like them to treat you.
Our school motto encompasses how as a school we tackle the issue of equality and diversity. We encourage our pupils to:
- Show respect to one another regardless of any differences, whether they be gender, race, creed, religion or disability.
- Develop lively, enquiring minds, showing a willingness to question, understand and accept differences
- Work together with others, being supportive and giving encouragement, valuing the contributions and efforts of all.
- Be respectful to all members of the school community, so that everyone feels happy, safe and valued.
Shown below is one of the ways we incorporate these ideals.
Y1 and Y3 have been learning about the challenges facing those with disabilities. Using sport and play as a context, youngsters explore how to include those with disabilities. They undertook the 6 week course which included learning sign language at a basic level.
