"I feel proud and privileged to be able to welcome you to our lovely school. Here at St John Boste we see ourselves as one big family, caring for our pupils in a friendly, secure and happy environment. We have a dedicated team of staff who work hard to provide a stimulating and engaging curriculum to ensure our pupils are given the best possible opportunities to succeed, whilst at the same time enjoying their learning.

Our pupils help make our school what it is; they always make us proud with their fantastic attitude towards their learning, their willingness and drive to do well, their enthusiasm when faced with new challenges and the way they treat others with care and respect. Our parents and families also play an important part in the success of our school, and we highly value the support they consistently give to their children and the school community. Parish mass

On Friday mass was held in the Hall and Y4 invited the parish to join us. Fr Mark explained to the children the meaning behind the items he wears to say mass. Parishioners were treated to entertainment from each class whilst having a croissant and cup of tea.

Playground update

New benches arrived today which have been kindly purchased by The Friends Of St John Boste. This has been possible through the generous support shown by the parents and carers over the last year. Fundraising has included book sale, raffles and the summer fair. A huge thank you to you

Y3 Liturgy

Y3 led the liturgy today. The children read from the Gospel and led prayers on the topic of baptism and belonging in God’s Family. Their final hymn was “Our God is a great big God” which all of KS2 enjoyed singing with them.

Y2 Liturgy about Baptism

Y2 liturgy was all about the sacrament of Baptism. The children explained the significance of baptism within the catholic faith and demonstrated the ceremony including the many symbols associated with this.
